When it comes to losing weight, one of the hardest things to stop thinking about is food. Why am I so hungry? When do I get to eat next? What’s for dinner?
What can help? Diversion–finding something else to focus on.
The list of things that can keep us out of the kitchen is endless. Yes, sex is on the list. But sex never takes THAT long.

I’ve never had much fine art talent (plenty of unfine talent), so I recently enrolled in a watercolor class with my mom.
Here’s my first painting.
I call it Trees Along the Road #1. Okay, so it’s no Winslow Homer, but we’ve got 16 weeks to go, and I’m sure I’ll improve a little bit.
So, my best diet tip ever: learn a new skill. Whether it’s a new art form, a new language, or how to use a new computer program, we can always broaden our horizons.
As I say in The Diet Joke, food is a part of life. It’s not all there is to it.
